Site Features:

• Transitioning Flash Header: Created in flash, the page header shows different forms displaying raw moments along with a constantly changing polaroid photo of the past and present students.
• WordPress Web Log (blog): The WordPress Web Log has been tied into this site to display information on the front page and subsequent pages.
• News at a Glance: The Home Page displays the most recent news updated from the news blog.
• Videos: Flash Video player which plays Flash Video via an xml file.

Vince Lozano

Problem:
Actor, Vince Lozano's website was growing beyond the bounds of the original design, and the content area was too small to add a large amount of content, pictures, and videos.

Solution:
Create a site that enables a larger area for media, and provide an easy way to update news.

Site Features:

• Transitioning Flash Header: Created in flash, the page header displays images of Vince Lozano's movie stills, headshots, and movie logos.
• WordPress Web Log (blog): The WordPress Web Log allows Vince to easily update the news on his site, and categorize it into sections with the click of a button.
• News at a Glance: The Home Page displays the most recent news updated from the news blog.
• Photo Gallery: The Photos Page allows for a large amount of image thumbnails to be displayed on one page. Using the LightBox JavaScript technique, the images grow larger in the page without the need to open a new window.
• Videos: The updated Video Page allows the user to select videos from links on the right hand side without using the back button. The video displays a still from the footage, and plays using the ubiquitous flash player.

Problem:
Gephart Resource Development wanted to update their website to reflect a more professional and sophisticated appearance.

Solution:
Create a graphical aesthetic using imagery and textures, implemented with modern internet technologies to provide a standards-compliant browsing experience.

Site Features:

• Animated Services Flow Chart: The G-R-D Home Page displays a flash animated flowchart of services provided by Gephart Resource Development. The individual boxes link to a new page, which displays the particular service selected.
• Standards Compliant: The site allows for viewing on multiple types of devices and is enabled for accessibility to users with disabilities.

The Perlan Project

Problem:
The Perlan Project website needed a new look for the 2006/2007 flying season, along with a new organizational structure.

Solution:
Update The Perlan Project's look and feel using css, xhtml, php, mysql.

Site Features:

• Weather Forecast Panel: using php and an rss feed, this weather panel allows visitors to see the weather forecast in Argentina/Sierra's during the Perlan Project flights in real time.
• Weather Info Page: using offsite graphics, visitors can look at various sattelite images and graphs during the Perlan Project flights in near real time.
• CSS Styling: css is used to create a visually dynamic layout.

La Lu Baby

Problem:
La Lu Baby needed a website to showcase their clothing designs for babies and toddlers.

Solution:
Create a simple and clean look and feel using Flash, css, xhtml, php, mysql.

Site Features:

• Transitioning Promotional Imagery: The home page displays animated images and text of the latest La Lu designs and special promotions.
• La Lu News Blog: Using the WordPress blogging software, a custom theme was integrated into the La Lu site. This allows for the site owner to stay up to date using a simple backend user interface.
• La Lu News: The home page displays the three most recent posts from the La Lu Blog, so visitors can keep up to date with the latest at La Lu.
• La Lu Mailer: Every page on the La Lu Baby site displays a form to sign up for the La Lu Mailer. Users can stay updated via email for the latest La Lu Baby designs and promotions.
• Custom Contact Form: Visitors can email La Lu Baby via this form without needing a mail client. This also cuts down on the visibility of email addresses from the watchful eye of spammers.

2006 Tahoe/Reno International Film Festival

Problem:
T-RIFF's website had started growing beyond its technology. They needed to be able to update pages and add new ones without having to know html or learn a complicated program.

Solution:
Update T-RIFF's look and feel, and create a dynamic site using PHP/MySQL.

Site Features:

• Admin Section: allows for article updates, additions and management of membership packages and order fulfillment.
• Members Section: lets users sign up for a new account and manage user information and newsletter subscriptions.
• Volunteer Form: receives volunteer data and inserts it into a database for easy searching and safe storage.
• Contact Form: allows people interested in T-RIFF to receive more information about the festival and other festival properties, all stored in a database for easy storage and search ability.
• Membership Purchase: users can purchase memberships via web form with safe transactions through VeriSign.

Site Description: This is the site for The Journey, a short animated film that toured the Festival circuit throughout 2005.

Features:

• Flash Video: the "movies" page showcases the animation's trailer, teaser, documentary, etc.
• Gallery: the gallery section displays images from the film, shot breakdowns and character sheets.
• Film News: this section keeps fans of the film updated on recent and upcoming news.
